U15 PVF convincingly won the Phoenix Cup 2026 with an undefeated record in China.

U15 PVF concluded their journey at the Phoenix Cup 2026 in China with an impressive championship. The young Vietnamese team maintained a perfect record in all 5 matches, thereby overcoming a series of opponents to reach the top of the tournament held in Chengdu, Sichuan.

After winning all group stage matches, U15 PVF advanced to the final and faced the Hong Kong (China) U15 selection team. This was considered a significant challenge as the two teams had drawn in a friendly match before the tournament. However, Coach Hoang Tho's players showed confidence and composure from the first minutes.

The match was evenly contested as both teams continuously launched attacks towards the opponent's goal. The turning point came when the Hong Kong defense mishandled the ball, allowing U15 PVF to organize a quick counterattack. The ball was developed from the left wing to the center, and after two consecutive shots, Manh Duy put the Vietnamese representative ahead.

After conceding, the Hong Kong U15 selection team proactively pushed their formation forward and utilized aerial balls to take advantage of their physical strength. Despite the pressure, U15 PVF's defense remained focused, while the goalkeeper made several solid saves to maintain the lead. In the 55th minute, PVF launched a sharp counterattack as Ba Huy broke down the right wing and crossed the ball into the box, allowing Manh Duy to complete his brace and make it 2-0.

In the remaining time, U15 PVF actively controlled the game and protected their lead against the opponent's efforts to fight back. The 2-0 scoreline remained until the final whistle, officially crowning the Vietnamese representative as the champion of the Phoenix Cup 2026. Manh Duy became the standout player of the final with his brace.

The championship became even more impressive as U15 PVF won all 5 matches in the tournament. According to statistics, the team scored 30 goals, conceded only 2, and kept 4 clean sheets. This achievement demonstrates the superior strength of the young PVF players and leaves a memorable mark for Vietnamese youth football on Chinese soil.
