The Vietnam team will have their first training session in Malaysia on 14/8. The following day, the squad will familiarize themselves with the Kuala Lumpur Stadium, finalizing tactics before the crucial match against the hosts.

The first leg semi-final between Malaysia and Vietnam kicks off at 8:00 PM on 16/8. After the match, the Vietnam team will return to Hanoi to prepare for the return leg at My Dinh on 19/8.

To recognize this outstanding achievement, the coaching staff and teammates presented Quang Hai with a jersey numbered 84 ahead of the first leg of the ASEAN Championship 2026 semi-final.

This is a tribute to Quang Hai's enduring journey in the national team jersey. Since his debut for Vietnam, the midfielder has participated in many major tournaments, leaving significant marks and becoming one of the iconic figures of Vietnamese football.
